What about Israel's attack on the USS Liberty in 1967?
One of the old stand-by's of dishonest anti-semites is the unfortunate "Friendly Fire" incident of Israel's attack on the USS Liberty in 1967.
The USS Liberty was a CARGO SHIP -- a liberty ship from World War II -- converted into a signals listening ship for the National Security Agency (NSA). It was sent into the Mediterranean -- whiel the USA lied to the world -- to listen in on the war between Israel and its Arab neighbors.
o The US Ambassador to the United Nations assured the world that there were NO US ships in the region. The nearest ship was 400 miles away.
o The tragedy occurred because the Captain of the USS Liberty committed TREASON and failed to obey his orders. THE ORDERS WERE BROADCAST 12 HOURS EARLIER TO LEAVE THE AREA. The Liberty would have been 100 miles away had the Captain not disobeyed his orders.
The Liberty was a signals-listening ship -- specializing in monitoring RADIO traffic on many frequencies. Yet the fig leaf by the US Navy was to say that the USS Liberty was listening to the wrong radio frequency for its orders. It was a SIGNALS LISTENING SHIP !!!!!!! The truth is that this exposed the inability of the Pentagon to control its ships at see, during the Vietnam War with a live war going on. This was a terrible situation to be revealed. So the US Navy covered up the Captain's treason in disobeying his orders.
o The day before, the Israeli air forced bombed and strafed an Israeli tank column. MISTAKES HAPPEN.
o Israeli jets flew out to investigate what they thought was an Egyptian ship,
o THE ISRAELI JETS WERE NOT PROPERLY ARMED TO SINK A SHIP
If Israel intended to attack an American ship -- or ANY ship for that matter -- the fighter jets would have gone out properly armed with bombs and torpedoes.
The fighters were scrambled to investigate what Israel thought was an Egyptian ship bombarding an Israeli force in the Sinai Peninsula.
There was no plan.
o It took almost an hour for Israeli torpedo ships to arrive.
If Israel had planned on attacking a ship -- any ship -- the torpedo ships would already be on location in the area.
o Israel spent 90 minutes strafing and circling the unknown ship. IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN 3 MINUTES TO SINK THE SHIP with the proper armament or with torpedo boats on station.
o Once the nationality of the ship came into question, ISRAEL STOPPED THE ATTACK.
If the attack were intentional (that is, as to a US ship, rather than an intentional attack on a HOSTILE ship), Israel would not have stopped the attack until the ship was sunk.
If the attack were intentional, Israel would have continued the attack to kill all the witnesses.
o In fact, it was the torpedo boats that called off the attack. The torpedo boats could have sliced the USS Liberty into shreds of tin foil. But as soon as the torpedo boats got close, one of the captains called off the attack, realizing that the ship was American.
o It is undisputed that the USS Liberty FIRED FIRST at the torpedo boats.
o It is undisputed that the torpedo boats fired one torpedo -- causing most of the damage -- AFTER THE USS LIBERTY OPENED FIRE WITH ITS DECK GUNS.
o In spite of being fired on, the Israeli torpedo boats still STOPPED the attack once they started to doubt the nationality of the ship.
o The US air force had spy planes in teh area watching the battle between israel and the Arabs.

Genes set Jews apart, study finds

Jews of European descent living on opposite sides of the globe are more closely related to one another than they are to their fellow countrymen, according to the largest study ever conducted of what it means genetically to be Jewish. Ashkenazis, the primary group descended from European Jews, are all as closely related as fourth or fifth cousins would be, the study found.
"Jews really are different from their non-Jewish neighbors," said Dr. Harry Ostrer, a geneticist at the New York University Langone Medical Center, coauthor of the study appearing Thursday in the American Journal of Human Genetics.
They are not different enough to be considered a separate race, as some experts have argued, he added, but definitely are a "distinct population" — the result, presumably, of cultural separation down through thousands of years.
The study, which was conducted primarily to further medical knowledge of genetic diseases, rejected a highly controversial idea that Ashkenazi Jews are descended from Khazars in Eastern Europe who converted to Judaism — an idea that has recently been used in an attempt to discredit the idea that Jews belong in Israel because it is their historic homeland.
The study shows that there is "clearly a shared genetic common ancestry among geographically diverse populations consistent with oral tradition and culture …and that traces back to the Middle East," said geneticist Sarah A. Tishkoff of the University of Pennsylvania, who was not involved in the study. "Jews have assimilated to some extent, but they clearly retain their common ancestry."
Said Joe Berkofsky, a spokesman for the Jewish Federations of North America: "This finding in a way underscores what Jewish Federations believe and act upon through our central mission, which is to care for and protect Jews around the world, no matter where they are."
Although the study sheds light on Jewish history — providing new information about the separation between North African and European Jews 2,500 years ago and the near extinction of European Jews in the Middle Ages — its major goal is to identify genes for many diseases that are more common in Jewish groups, such as breast cancer, Gaucher's disease and Tay-Sachs.
The higher incidence of those diseases among "Abraham's children" will allow scientists to more readily find genes that causes the illnesses and then extend that knowledge to the general population, said geneticist Gil Atzmon of Yeshiva University's Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, coauthor of the paper.
The study examined 237 Jewish individuals from seven regions of the world, comparing them with 418 non-Jewish people from the same regions. Each of the Jewish subjects had all four grandparents from the same population.
The researchers studied about 160,000 sites across the entire genome, providing a great deal more information about the population than has ever been available.
Previous studies had found similar results by looking at smaller populations and considering only blood groups, mitochondrial DNA (a type of DNA passed down by mothers) or Y chromosomes (passed down by fathers).
The Jewish people, according to archaeologists, originated in Babylon and Persia between the 4th and 6th centuries BC. The modern-day Jews most closely related to that original population are those in Iran, Iraq and Syria, whose closest non-Jewish relatives are the Druze, Bedouins and Palestinians, the study found.
Sometime in that period, the Middle Eastern and European Jews diverged and the European branch began actively proselytizing for converts.
At the height of the Roman Empire, about 10% of the empire's population was Jewish, although the bulk of them were converts. Some Khazars were also incorporated during this period.
"That explains why so many European and Syrian Jews have blue eyes and blond hair," Ostrer says. It also explains another of the team's findings — that the population most closely related genetically to European Jews are Italians.
The data also show what the researchers call a "bottleneck" in the Jewish population during the Middle Ages. The population of European Jews shrunk below 50,000 during that period because of disease, prejudice, anti-Semitic edicts and the Crusades, Atzmon said.
Afterward, however, an easing of restrictions led to what is known as the "demographic miracle," in which the Jewish population rose twice as fast as that of other Europeans, reaching more than 5 million by the 19th century.

Religious warfare starting in Jerusalem when Arabs attacked the sacred Jewish shrine of the Wailing Wall (TIME, Aug. 26) grew more intense last week. Hallowed to both religions is the small area marked by the ruins of King Solomon's temple. In it Mohammedans can view with pious awe a golden urn containing two hairs from the beard of the true Prophet. Nearby is the coffin of Mohammed, adorned with 17 golden nails of which the written word says when they fall out all things will come to an end. Of the many relics sanctified to Jews, holiest is the Wailing Wall. For generations they have gone there to lament ". . . for the Temple that is destroyed . . . for our Majesty that is departed ... for our Great Men who lie dead. . . ."
Jew-baiting by Arabs and raucous rabbles grew worse daily. While Jews banded together to defend themselves against a mighty pogrom, events occurred with wartime rapidity.
¶ A Jewish youth playing ball was fatally stabbed by Arabs. Police attempting to deter his funeral procession from the Moslem quarter clubbed 28 Jews.
Aged Jewish worshippers at the Wailing Wall were stoned by Arabs.
Sword-swashing Arabs poured from the Mosque Omar, swooped on the Jewish quarter. Nine Jews and three Arabs were killed, no persons injured.
¶ Martial law was enforced. Six o'clock curfew was ordered, armored cars guarded the streets and airplanes watched from above. Censorship was rigid.
Fierce rioting broke out as the British apparently lost control of the situation. Dagger-armed Arabs systematically raided all parts of Jerusalem and many suburbs.
¶ Fifty infantrymen with machine guns were despatched from Egypt by airplane. The British War Office ordered the tracks between Cairo and Alexandria cleared of traffic to facilitate troop movements.
A super-dreadnought, a light cruiser and an aircraft carrier were despatched from Malta to Palestine. Other ships awaited orders.
¶ Prime Minister James Ramsay MacDonald called a special meeting of the Cabinet. Albert Victor Alexander, First Sea Lord of the British Admiralty, was recalled from leave.
¶The chief Rabbi at Jerusalem telegraphed to the chief Rabbi of the British Empire: PALESTINE JEWRY IN GREATEST DANGER RUSH HELP.
¶ Old rumors that the Arabs had hidden large ammunition stores plundered from retreating Turks ten years ago were given credence as heavy shooting increased.
Fully armed, with bands playing, a battalion of the South Wales border regiment marched through Jerusalem. The city quieted but heavy fighting was reported in country districts. Airplanes searched for marauding Arabs, swept them with machine-gun fire. Lifta, an Arab village said to be headquarters of the attack, was bombed.

For generations they have gone there to lament ". . . for the Temple that is destroyed . . . for our Majesty that is departed ... for our Great Men who lie dead. . . ."

¶ Fifty infantrymen with machine guns were despatched from Egypt by airplane. The British War Office ordered the tracks between Cairo and Alexandria cleared of traffic to facilitate troop movements.
A super-dreadnought, a light cruiser and an aircraft carrier were despatched from Malta to Palestine. Other ships awaited orders.
¶ Prime Minister James Ramsay MacDonald called a special meeting of the Cabinet. Albert Victor Alexander, First Sea Lord of the British Admiralty, was recalled from leave.
¶The chief Rabbi at Jerusalem telegraphed to the chief Rabbi of the British Empire: PALESTINE JEWRY IN GREATEST DANGER RUSH HELP.
¶ Old rumors that the Arabs had hidden large ammunition stores plundered from retreating Turks ten years ago were given credence as heavy shooting increased.
Fully armed, with bands playing, a battalion of the South Wales border regiment marched through Jerusalem. The city quieted but heavy fighting was reported in country districts. Airplanes searched for marauding Arabs, swept them with machine-gun fire. Lifta, an Arab village said to be headquarters of the attack, was bombed.

Since 1918 the Soviet Union has formally professed constitutional commitment to freedom of belief. In practice, the regime has placed rigid limits upon churches, synagogues and mosques and waged a campaign of oppression against believers. The training of religious leaders is tightly restricted, and religious education of children under the age of 18 is illegal. At the same time, all schoolchildren are indoctrinated in atheism.
For Soviet Christians, conditions today are relatively stable. There was a wave of church closings between 1958 and 1964. But believers are allowed to worship in the buildings that remain open so long as they register their congregations with the government and do not challenge Communist bans on parish education, evangelism and distribution of Christian literature. Several high-ranking Russian Orthodox ecclesiastics have recently been seen on TV newscasts, usually appearing as supporters of the Kremlin's disarmament policies. Severe persecution is aimed primarily at groups such as those Pentecostalists and Baptists who refuse to accept Soviet controls.
The status of the reported 1.8 million Soviet Jews is more difficult. Jewish emigration has been cut to fewer than 50 a month (vs. a peak of 51,300 in 1979), but the continuing demand for emigration shows how difficult it is for Soviet Jews to maintain an identity.
Last September, for example, one of the Soviet Union's few remaining mikvahs (ritual baths) was reportedly leveled by authorities.

Did Jews support the Russian Revolution and Communism?
Historical ignorance plays a fatal role when simple-minded anti-semites talk about communism. A great many people around the world supported, helped, and cheered the initial effort in Russia to establish an Americn or French style democracy in Russia. (More precisely something somewhere between the American Revolution and the French Revolution that did not turn out so well at first.)
Many Americans saw the Russian Revolution at first as the inevitable historical spread of the AMERICAN REVOLUTION to other countries. Don't forget that the Founders of the United States passionately hoped and believed that other countries would follow their lead and example and establish similiar democracies. Many in the Russian Revolution took their inspiration from the USA, France, and Great Britain's democratic-based Constitutional Monarchy.
At first, the Russian Revolution was a broad-based freedom-oriented movement, seeking democracy, not unlike the American Revolution.
In Russia, in the United States, in France, and in many other places the Russian Revolution was correctly seen as a movement toward democracy and freedom.
However, the Russian Revolution was then HIIJACKED in a subsequent coup.
I explain it this way: Russia went through at least 3 revolutions (4 if you count the failed revolution of 1905): The initial revolution. The VIOLENT COUP that then took over the country and stole the revolution from the people.
A a 3rd slow-motion revolution was created by Orthodox Christian Josef Stalin, who completely destroyed the previous government and totally replaced it through a massive campaign of gigantic purges.
Stalin's on-going purges, over many, many years, systematically tore down everything that had been in place before, and created an entirely new Stalinist government of the Soviet Union.
What we know of today as the evil of Soviet communism is primarily the 3rd Soviet government after the 3rd revolution, created by Russian Orthodox Seminary Student Josef Stalin.

Someone's participation in the 1917 revolution does not mean they had any relationship whatsoever to the Bolshevik government that then seized control in a coup that I refer to as a 2nd Russian Revolution.
The fact that someone supported from Europe or participated in Russia in the original 1917 revolution IS NOT SAYING MUCH OF ANYTHING.
Most of those people simply wanted to create a French or American style democracy in Russia.
Then the "Reds" -- the Bolsheviks -- stormed into the Hermitage in St. Petersburg and arrested the Provisional Government.
When I took a tour of the Hermitage around 1993, the Russian local guide pointed to a huge clock under a large glass dome over a fireplace.
The Russian guide told us that the Bolsheviks who arrested the Provisional Government came in through that ante room, and then entered the adjoining ball room, late at night, where the Provisional Government was meeting.
The Russians themselves tell the story that the clock stopped at that moment and the clock has not run since. The Russians themselves tell the story that just as Russia itself has been frozen in staganation since that moment, the clock symbolically stopped, for all of Russia, from the moment when the Bolsheviks betrayed the coalition by attacking the other members of the coalition.
The Russians themselves today view the 2nd revolution (as I call it) when the revolution was HIJACKED as a moment when Russia's history was betrayed and frozen in time.
So simply because someone supported or participated in the original overthrow of the Czar does not mean they supported the later 2nd revolution by the Bolsheviks.

Soviet policy is against all religions, but the Jew is discouraged to a far greater degree than either the Christian or Moslem from trying to practice his faith.
In all of the Soviet Union, there are only about 60 synagogues and a dozen or so ordained rabbis. At the same time, the Soviet Jew cannot shed his identity and become a fully assimilated Russian even if he wants to. No matter where he was born, he is always listed as a Jew in the domestic passport that all Soviet citizens must carry. Yet the Jew lacks the privileges that other Soviet ethnic groups enjoy. Other nationalities, such as the Ukrainians and Armenians, have their own provinces where they can speak their language and exercise a degree of cultural autonomy. The Jew is forbidden his own schools, and he cannot learn Hebrew or Yiddish in the public schools; they simply are not taught.
Since the 1940s, the Hebrew and Yiddish theater has been almost completely closed down. The only Yiddish periodical that is allowed to be published is a monthly journal edited by a party hack. The so-called Jewish Autonomous Region of Birobidzhan, which Stalin set up as a showplace in Siberia, has only 30,000 Jews in a population of 163,000.
The Soviet Jew is also handicapped by a strict quota system in universities and higher training schools. Jews may make up only 3% of the total, and while that figure is twice as high as the Jewish percentage of the Soviet population, it is nonetheless impossible for many highly qualified young Jews to receive higher education.
Dr. Arye Lev-Ran, who left Russia in 1967 and now lives in Israel, writes: "In buses and trains, and in queues outside stores, [the Soviet Jew] constantly hears the words zhid [yid] and A brashka [Abie], and overhears how crafty Jews grab up everything and are the cause of all shortages.
There is probably not a single Jew in the Soviet Union who has not heard a drunkard voice his regret that Hitler did not finish off all the Jews."
The situation has grown worse because of the recent international tension. Many older Jews are being discharged from their jobs Young Jews are finding it more difficult than ever to get into universities or to get suitable jobs later. Some young Jews have gone to Siberia voluntarily in order to study at less crowded universities there.
Police surveillance and harassment are on the rise, as evidenced by the raids on 50 Jewish homes in scattered communities following the arrest of the alleged hijackers in Leningrad last June.
The present wave of abuse began shortly after the Six-Day War in 1967. Because the swift defeat of Moscow's Arab allies by Israel made Soviet foreign policy appear inept, the Kremlin needed a scapegoat.
Soviet propagandists blamed a worldwide conspiracy of Zionists backed by neo-Nazis and U.S. imperialists. Authorities began publishing books and pamphlets portraying Jews as vile drunks, rapists and drug pushers. In Love and Hate, Author Ivan Shevtsov has the Jewish villain kill his mother to gain his inheritance.
The Soviet press also berates the Jews for their "God-chosen-ness" and argues that "Judaism and Zionism educate the Jews in the spirit of contempt and even hatred for other people."

You are lamenting the "low sinking" of a "once proud" nation. Please tell me, when exactly was that "nation" proud and what was it so proud of?

Jordan is Palestine
The Dutch politician Geert Wilders has hit the bullseye:
‘Jordan is Palestine,’ said Wilders, who heads the third-largest party in Holland.
‘Changing its name to Palestine will end the conflict in the Middle East and provide the Palestinians with an alternate homeland...There has been an independent Palestinian state since 1946, and it is the kingdom of Jordan.’ Wilders also called on the Dutch government to refer to Jordan as Palestine and move its embassy to Jerusalem.
Wilders has spoken the big inconvenient truth. As a result, it is inevitably being dismissed as merely what ‘the right’ regularly says. So of course it's untrue, on the grounds that, by definition, everything ‘the right’ says is untrue. Yadda yadda.
But it is not untrue. It is correct. Anyone familiar with the history knows it is correct. Immediately after World War One, Palestine consisted of what is now Jordan, Israel, the West Bank and Gaza. The great powers dividing up the region decided that Britain should be given a mandate to administer Palestine and restore within it the historic Jewish national home. Within a couple of years, however, Winston Churchill, for reasons of realpolitik, gave away three quarters of Palestine to the Hashemite dynasty to found (Trans)Jordan (leaving all the rest to be settled by the Jews; but that’s another story).
So Jordan is indeed Palestine. As Camie Davis points out, the Arabs themselves repeatedly said so:
Jordanians, for decades, were avid proponents of the ‘Jordan is Palestine’ position. They used that position as justification for the annexation of the West Bank, arguing that Palestine was one single, indivisible unit, and that Jordan was the legitimate governing body of Palestine...

Indeed, until 1970 the Palestine Liberation Organisation conducted terrorist operations against Jordan on the grounds that it was Palestine and the Hashemite minority was ruling the Palestinian majority. It was only after Jordan killed thousands of Palestinians in 'Black September' (and who in the west ever cared about that??) that Israel suddenly became the sole historic homeland’ of the Palestinians and Jordan was airbrushed out of the picture -- and the fabrication of ‘Palestinianism’ became the accepted truth.
But as 'Palestinian' politician Zouhair Moussein told the Dutch newspaper Trouw in 1977 (hat tip: Israel Matzav):
The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism.
For tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem. However, the moment we reclaim our right to all of Palestine, we will not wait even a minute to unite Palestine and Jordan.
It is the west’s refusal to acknowledge this connection, and wholly to misrepresent instead both the history of the region and the causes of the conflict in the Middle East, which is one of the principal reasons why that murderous impasse continues to this day.
There can be no peace without justice; and there can be no justice without truth. Wilders has told the truth. With the west’s collective brain twisted beyond reason by lies, he will of course be vilified and dismissed for doing so.
The bigger the truth, the greater the vilification and the more ‘right-wing’ the truth-teller becomes in order to neutralise his challenge to the lies.
That’s why the bad guys are winning.

Did "Jews" Lead the Bolshevik / Communist Movements?
There are vast projects by anti-semites worldwide, especially on the internet, claiming that Jews were leaders of the Bolshevik / communist movements.
However, one problem with discussing this is the anti-semites' habit of falsely labeling anyone who disagrees with them as a Jew as a matter of ideological convenience. So you can find long lists of supposed "Jews" involved in the communist movements or early communist government of the Soviet Union.
But to these people everyone is a Jew that they don't like or disagree with or who it is convenient to call a Jew. To these nuts, Franklin Roosevelt was a Jew, Dwight Eisenhower was a Jew, Winston Churchill was a Jew. I am surprised that they are not calling the Pope Jewish. All of these nutty claims have been intensively investigated, and refuted. Yet in the face of all evidence, they keep repeating the same nutty lies.
So when we confront lists of supposed Jews whose backgrounds are not so easy to verify, what are we to make of them? These people have already told us that the think everyone is a automatically Jew who does not follow the neo-Nazi philosophy. How much credibility should we give to such lists? This author, a born-again, tongue-talking Assemblies of God Christian, whose ancestors came over on the Mayflower, is repeatedly called a Jew by these nuts simply for pointing out their errors.
Many of the people who are arbitrarily designated as Jews are not Jews, but that would not fit the narrative of the anti-Jew propaganda.
ALSO, REMEMBER THAT FOR 25 YEARS THE NAZI PARTY AND LATER NAZI GOVERNMENT SPREAD MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF ANTI-JEWISH PROPAGANDA THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.
The historical record has been polluted and tampered with by 25 years of State-sponsored historical revision, planting false information, spinning truth into lies, spreading false rumors, etc. from the efforts of Nazi Germany.
Adolf Hitler struck a peace treaty with Josef Stalin as a friend (which he later broke). Yet today we hear that Eastern Orthodox Seminary student Josef Stalin -- studying to be an Eastern Orthodox Priest on a scholarship -- was a Jew. Hitler called a Jew his friend and signed a treaty with him? I don't think so.
Such statements about Jews leading this or that immediately suffer from (a0 the falsehoods spread by the Nazi government throughout Europe and the world, the destruction of true records and information by the Nazis, and the habit of calling everyone a Jew simply to advance a false narrative.

If there were 17 million Jews in that part of Europe which was occupied by the Third Reich, then the Germans should have killed all 17 million.

Iran has threatened to send Iranian warships to accompany future "activist" ships attempting to illegally break the naval quarantine (blockade) of Gaza imposed by BOTH EGYPT AND Israel to prevent weapons from entering Gaza.
So it appears that the United States is seeking to nip such a confrontation in the bud. Although Obama is no friend of Israel, he appears to have enough sense to know that the presence of a US aircraft carrier off of Gaza WILL AVOID THE WHOLE PROBLEM (hopefully) by discouraging such confrontation.
While I don't believe Obama has Israel's best interest at heart, Obama does not want headlines that harm Obama's agenda and his coalition of liberal voters that include America's Jewish community.
"NO news is GOOD news" out of the Middle East, I believe is Obama's strategy in sending the USS Truman into the Mediterranean.
If Gaza is re-supplied with weapons, and attacks on Israel resume, ISRAEL WOULD BE FORCED TO RESPOND BY RE-ENTERING GAZA WITH TANKS & TROOPS
Thus keeping weapons out of Gaza preserves peace and protects lives, and Egypt for 3 years was whole-heartedly supporting the continued disarmament of bloodthirsty barbarians in Gaza.

Egypt allowed at least one Israeli and 11 American warships to pass through the Suez Canal as an Iranian flotilla approaches Gaza. Egypt closed the canal to protect the ships with thousands of soldiers, according to the British-based Arabic language newspaper Al Quds al-Arabi.
One day prior to the report on Saturday, Voice of Israel government radio reported that the Egyptian government denied an Israeli request not to allow the Iranian flotilla to use the Suez Canal to reach Gaza, in violation of the Israeli sea embargo on the Hamas-controlled area.
International agreements require Egypt to keep the Suez open even for warships, but the armada, led by the USS Truman with 5,000 sailors and marines, was the largest in years. Egypt closed the canal to fishing and other boats as the armada moved through the strategic passageway that connects the Red and Mediterranean Seas.
Despite Egypt’s reported refusal to block the canal to Iranian boats, the clearance for the American-Israeli fleet may be a warning to Iran it may face military opposition if the Iranian Red Crescent ship continues on course to Gaza.
The warships may exercise the right to inspect the Iranian boat for the illegal transport or weapons. Newsweek reported that Egyptian authorities could stop the ship for weeks, using technicalities such as requiring that any official documents be translated from Farsi into Arabic.
The magazine’s website also reported that the Iranian navy is the weakest part of its armed forces. Tehran has already backed down from announced intentions to escort the Iranian ships with "volunteer marines” from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
The Iranian news site Hamsayeh.net reported, “The move might be in connection to U.S. self-inflicted embargo against Iran aimed at inspecting Iran bound ships for suspected goods related to the country’s nuclear program.”
Another battle on the high seas may involve one, and possibly two, Lebanese vessels that are aimed at challenging Israel’s sovereignty over the Gaza coastal waters. Hizbullah, gearing up for a reaction to a possible clash between the Israeli Navy (pictured) and the Lebanese boats, has delayed rocket units near Lebanese ports, according to unofficial military sources.
Israel has warned U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon that Israel will use force, if necessary, to stop the boats, one of which is carrying approximately 70 women passengers and crew organized by Hizbullah support Samar al-Hajj. Her husband is one of several jailed suspects involved in the assassination for former Lebanese anti-Syrian Prime Rafik Hariri.

This is not the case for other chromosomes, each of which carries representation from many different ancestors on both the maternal and paternal lineages. Accordingly, since the Jewish priesthood designation is transmitted from father to son, the DNA of the founding ancestor is reflected in the Y-chromosome markers of modern-day Jewish priests.

Anti-semites are enemies of EVERYONE, not just Jews
When it comes to Jews and Israel, we need to understand what it took me about 5 years of arguing with such nitwits to finally figure out:
For anti-semtic bullies, bashing Jews is simply politics.
Remember that Adolf Hitler and the Nazis came to power by using Jews as a distraction and a scape goat.
Read George Orwell's 1984. These anti-semitic bullies are really not interested in Jews or Israel, per se. They are interested in using the issue of Israel and Jews as a whipping boy to distract attention from what they are really doing, and to create a scape goat.
These people are trying to attack EVERYONE -- not just Jews. The neo-Nazis and German nationalists (spread around the world) need to attack Jews in order to repair the damage to their reputation from how the Nazis behaved in World War 2.
They don't care about Jews. They care about repairing their public relations disaster from WW2.
If given a chance at power -- even though that is unlikely but they are still trying anyway, no matter how improbable -- they would attack, enslave, and harm EVERYONE, NOT just Jews.
That is why they simultaneously argue: (1) Hitler was a victim, (2) The Nazis did not do anything bad to Jews, (3) but the Nazis should have done bad things to the Jews.
They are desperately trying to scrounge for any way out of their public relations disaster from WW2. The Jews are only an obstacle. But these Teutonic thugs are AIMING at EVERYONE -- not just Jews.

FUTILE? YES.... But no one in Germany expected the defeat of WW2 to become so thorough. They never imagined that they would be put on trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity. They never imagined that the public relations disaster would be so complete.
They believed at the time that Nazi Germany would sue for peace, enter into a truce (NOT an unconditional surrender), that after about 5 or 10 years the Allies would go back to their old ways of inattentiveness and disarmament, and in about 10 years after a defeat, the Nazi FOURTH REICH could be replanted on German soil.
These 700 BORMANN Enterprises are in effect -- right now -- THE NAZI THIRD REICH IN EXILE hiding around the world, such as in Australia.
The Nazi Third Reich still exists: IN EXILE in Australia and many other countries.

DNA proves ALL JEWS come historically from Ancient Israel

There is now new DNA evidence for common Jewish origin—not just among Cohanim, the Priestly Class, but among Jews scattered all over the globe.
Recently published research in the field of molecular genetics—the study of DNA sequences—indicates that Jewish populations of the various Diaspora communities have retained their genetic identity throughout the exile. Despite large geographic distances between the communities and the passage of thousands of years, far removed Jewish communities share a similar genetic profile. This research confirms the common ancestry and common geographical origin of world Jewry.
Jewish men from communities which developed in the Near East—Iran, Iraq, Kurdistan, Yemen—and European Jews have very similar, almost identical genetic profiles.
“Despite their long-term residence in different countries and isolation from one another, most Jewish populations were not significantly different from one another at the genetic level. The results support the hypothesis that the paternal gene pools of Jewish communities from Europe, North Africa and the Middle East descended from a common Middle Eastern ancestral population, and suggest that most Jewish communities have remained relatively isolated from neighboring non-Jewish communities during and after the Diaspora.” (M.F. The basis of this new field of population research is the study of the Y-chromosome, which is passed virtually unchanged from father to son. The rare mutations—which are changes in the non-coding portion of its DNA—can serve as markers, which can distinguish peoples. By studying the genetic signatures of various groups, comparisons can be made to determine the genetic relationships between the groups.
Y-chromosome research of the Jewish people began as an outgrowth of the study of Cohanim—the Jewish priestly family (Cohen.) These studies showed a very high genetic affinity among present-day Cohanim, indicating that they do have a common paternal ancestor, estimated to have lived some 3,000 years ago. MOST RECENT RESEARCH
The most recent genetic research consists of obtaining DNA samples, and doing laboratory analysis and comparison of the DNA markers on the Y-chromosome—which is passed from father to son, and on the mtDNA (mitrocondrial DNA)—which is passed intact from mother to son and daughter. This genetic anthropology promises to be particularly informative for tracking the history of Jewish populations, and helping to resolve the debate on the origins and migrations of Jewish communities in the Diaspora.
The researchers proposed to answer the question whether the scattered groups of modern Jews can be identified as the descendants of the ancient Hebrews of the Bible, or whether their common ancestry has been diluted through influx of converts and through intermarriage so that little remains of their “Jewish genes.”
The complex recorded history of dispersal from the Land of Israel and subsequent residence in and movements between various countries in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East is expected to produce a complex pattern of genetic relationships among Jewish populations as well as between them and the non-Jewish peoples among whom they lived.
The research was based on samples from 29 populations, 7 Jewish, categorized into five major divisions: Jews, Middle-Eastern non-Jews, Europeans, North Africans, and sub-Saharan Africans.
The findings were that most Jewish communities—long separated from one another in Europe, North Africa, the Near East and the Arabian Peninsula—do indeed seem to be genetically similar and closely related to one another, sharing a common geographical origin.
These Jewish communities are more closely related to each other and to other Middle Eastern Semitic populations—Palestinians, Syrians, and Druze—than to their neighboring non-Jewish populations in the Diaspora.
The results also indicate a low level of admixture (intermarriage, conversion, rape, etc.) into the gene pool of these various Jewish communities.
Among the Jewish communities sampled, North Africans (Moroccans, etc.) were most closely related to Babylonian (Iraqi) Jews. These populations may best represent the paternal gene pool of the ancient Jewish/Hebrew population dating back to the First Temple period, before the Babylonian exile (approx. 2,500 years ago).
The Y-chromosome signatures of the Yemenite Jews are also similar to those of other Jewish and Semitic populations. In contrast, the paternal gene pool of Ethiopian Jews more closely resembles that of non-Jewish Ethiopian men.
ASHKENAZI LINKS
Although the Ashkenazi (European) Jewish community separated from their Mediterranean ancestors some 1,200 years ago and lived among Central and Eastern European gentiles, their paternal gene pool still resembles that of other Jewish and Semitic groups originating in the Middle East.
A low rate of intermarriage between Diaspora Jews and local gentiles was the key reason for this continuity. Since the Jews first settled in Europe more than 50 generations ago, the intermarriage rate was estimated to be only about 0.5% in each generation.
The Ashkenazi paternal gene pool does not appear to be similar to that of present-day Turkish speakers. This finding opposes the suggestion that Ashkenazim are descended from the Kuzars, a Turkish-Asian empire that converted to Judaism en masse in or about the 8th century CE.
The researchers are continuing and expanding their studies particularly of the Ashkenazi community. They are hoping that by examining the DNA markers in Jewish populations from different parts of Europe, they will be able to infer the major historical and demographic patterns in Ashkenazi populations.
MIGRATION CLUES
In addition to questions of medical interest, there are many interesting possibilities concerning the origin of Ashkenazi populations and how they migrated in Europe. It seems likely that Jews began to arrive in Europe perhaps 1,000 to 1,200 years ago, when settlement was already sufficiently developed to provide them with opportunities to make a living.
One theory claims that the Jews of Eastern Europe derive predominantly from Jewish migrants from the Rhineland or from Italy, being fairly direct descendants of the original ancient Jewish/Hebrew populations.
A second theory suggests a northerly migration from the Balkans or from Central Asia, with the possibility of large-scale conversions of Slavs and/or Kuzars to Judaism.
This argument parallels the controversy over the origin and development of Yiddish—the language of Eastern European Jews. One theory proposes that Jews, migrating from the Rhineland and neighboring regions spoke an old form of German which provided the basis of Yiddish.
Other scholars reject the German origin of Yiddish. These linguists see Yiddish grammar as fundamentally Slavonic, with modern Yiddish developed by incorporating large numbers of German and Hebrew words into the context of a basically Slavic grammar and syntax.
There has not been enough historical evidence to decide between such theories. Now, with the newly developed genetic methods, it is possible to test these ideas, for example to see if there was a significant Slavic contribution to modern Ashkenazic Jewry.
CONTINUING RESEARCH
The researchers plan to continue their research by investigating genetic variation in populations that can trace their Jewish ancestry to localized communities of Europe, in order to better understand the history and development of Ashkenazic Jewry.
These genetic research findings support Jewish tradition—both written and oral.
After over 1,000 years of history in the Land of Israel, Jews dispersed to many and distant locations throughout the world. Some Jewish exile communities were relatively stable for two millennia—such as in Babylonia (Iraq) and Persia (Iran). Others developed centuries later, following successive migrations to North Africa and Europe.
All of these communities maintained their Jewish customs and religious observance despite prolonged periods of persecution. Jews remained generally culturally isolated from their host communities. These genetic studies are a testimony to Jewish family faithfulness.
Only the Jewish people in the history of mankind has retained its genetic identity for over 100 generations, while being spread throughout the world—truly unique and inspiring.
Perhaps, even more unique and inspiring, is that this most unlikely scenario was a prophecy and a promise.

“Despite their long-term residence in different countries and isolation from one another, most Jewish populations were not significantly different from one another at the genetic level. The results support the hypothesis that the paternal gene pools of Jewish communities from Europe, North Africa and the Middle East descended from a common Middle Eastern ancestral population, and suggest that most Jewish communities have remained relatively isolated from neighboring non-Jewish communities during and after the Diaspora.” (M.F. The basis of this new field of population research is the study of the Y-chromosome, which is passed virtually unchanged from father to son. The rare mutations—which are changes in the non-coding portion of its DNA—can serve as markers, which can distinguish peoples. By studying the genetic signatures of various groups, comparisons can be made to determine the genetic relationships between the groups.
Y-chromosome research of the Jewish people began as an outgrowth of the study of Cohanim—the Jewish priestly family (Cohen.) These studies showed a very high genetic affinity among present-day Cohanim, indicating that they do have a common paternal ancestor, estimated to have lived some 3,000 years ago. MOST RECENT RESEARCH
The most recent genetic research consists of obtaining DNA samples, and doing laboratory analysis and comparison of the DNA markers on the Y-chromosome—which is passed from father to son, and on the mtDNA (mitrocondrial DNA)—which is passed intact from mother to son and daughter. This genetic anthropology promises to be particularly informative for tracking the history of Jewish populations, and helping to resolve the debate on the origins and migrations of Jewish communities in the Diaspora.
The researchers proposed to answer the question whether the scattered groups of modern Jews can be identified as the descendants of the ancient Hebrews of the Bible, or whether their common ancestry has been diluted through influx of converts and through intermarriage so that little remains of their “Jewish genes.”
The complex recorded history of dispersal from the Land of Israel and subsequent residence in and movements between various countries in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East is expected to produce a complex pattern of genetic relationships among Jewish populations as well as between them and the non-Jewish peoples among whom they lived.
The research was based on samples from 29 populations, 7 Jewish, categorized into five major divisions: Jews, Middle-Eastern non-Jews, Europeans, North Africans, and sub-Saharan Africans.
The findings were that most Jewish communities—long separated from one another in Europe, North Africa, the Near East and the Arabian Peninsula—do indeed seem to be genetically similar and closely related to one another, sharing a common geographical origin.
These Jewish communities are more closely related to each other and to other Middle Eastern Semitic populations—Palestinians, Syrians, and Druze—than to their neighboring non-Jewish populations in the Diaspora.
The results also indicate a low level of admixture (intermarriage, conversion, rape, etc.) into the gene pool of these various Jewish communities.
Among the Jewish communities sampled, North Africans (Moroccans, etc.) were most closely related to Babylonian (Iraqi) Jews. These populations may best represent the paternal gene pool of the ancient Jewish/Hebrew population dating back to the First Temple period, before the Babylonian exile (approx. 2,500 years ago).
The Y-chromosome signatures of the Yemenite Jews are also similar to those of other Jewish and Semitic populations. In contrast, the paternal gene pool of Ethiopian Jews more closely resembles that of non-Jewish Ethiopian men.
ASHKENAZI LINKS
Although the Ashkenazi (European) Jewish community separated from their Mediterranean ancestors some 1,200 years ago and lived among Central and Eastern European gentiles, their paternal gene pool still resembles that of other Jewish and Semitic groups originating in the Middle East.
A low rate of intermarriage between Diaspora Jews and local gentiles was the key reason for this continuity. Since the Jews first settled in Europe more than 50 generations ago, the intermarriage rate was estimated to be only about 0.5% in each generation.
The Ashkenazi paternal gene pool does not appear to be similar to that of present-day Turkish speakers. This finding opposes the suggestion that Ashkenazim are descended from the Kuzars, a Turkish-Asian empire that converted to Judaism en masse in or about the 8th century CE.
The researchers are continuing and expanding their studies particularly of the Ashkenazi community. They are hoping that by examining the DNA markers in Jewish populations from different parts of Europe, they will be able to infer the major historical and demographic patterns in Ashkenazi populations.
MIGRATION CLUES
In addition to questions of medical interest, there are many interesting possibilities concerning the origin of Ashkenazi populations and how they migrated in Europe. It seems likely that Jews began to arrive in Europe perhaps 1,000 to 1,200 years ago, when settlement was already sufficiently developed to provide them with opportunities to make a living.
One theory claims that the Jews of Eastern Europe derive predominantly from Jewish migrants from the Rhineland or from Italy, being fairly direct descendants of the original ancient Jewish/Hebrew populations.
A second theory suggests a northerly migration from the Balkans or from Central Asia, with the possibility of large-scale conversions of Slavs and/or Kuzars to Judaism.
This argument parallels the controversy over the origin and development of Yiddish—the language of Eastern European Jews. One theory proposes that Jews, migrating from the Rhineland and neighboring regions spoke an old form of German which provided the basis of Yiddish.
Other scholars reject the German origin of Yiddish. These linguists see Yiddish grammar as fundamentally Slavonic, with modern Yiddish developed by incorporating large numbers of German and Hebrew words into the context of a basically Slavic grammar and syntax.
There has not been enough historical evidence to decide between such theories. Now, with the newly developed genetic methods, it is possible to test these ideas, for example to see if there was a significant Slavic contribution to modern Ashkenazic Jewry.
CONTINUING RESEARCH
The researchers plan to continue their research by investigating genetic variation in populations that can trace their Jewish ancestry to localized communities of Europe, in order to better understand the history and development of Ashkenazic Jewry.
These genetic research findings support Jewish tradition—both written and oral.
After over 1,000 years of history in the Land of Israel, Jews dispersed to many and distant locations throughout the world. Some Jewish exile communities were relatively stable for two millennia—such as in Babylonia (Iraq) and Persia (Iran). Others developed centuries later, following successive migrations to North Africa and Europe.
All of these communities maintained their Jewish customs and religious observance despite prolonged periods of persecution. Jews remained generally culturally isolated from their host communities. These genetic studies are a testimony to Jewish family faithfulness.
Only the Jewish people in the history of mankind has retained its genetic identity for over 100 generations, while being spread throughout the world—truly unique and inspiring.
Perhaps, even more unique and inspiring, is that this most unlikely scenario was a prophecy and a promise.

The Times recently carried this unusual report on an Israeli Jew (Tsvi Misinai, a retired computer expert) who's hoping to prove that Palestinians are descended from Jews. Apparently, he thinks that proving this will help to stop the bloodshed. His idea is that modern Jews are descended from emigration in the first few centuries of the Christian era. The Jews who stayed put in Palestine converted to Islam, and became Palestinian Arabs. There's hope that genetic tests might be able to prove this.Well, there is good news and bad news on that score.The good news is that the genetics of Arabs and Jews have been pretty extensively researched. The classic study dates to 2000, from a team lead by Michael Hammer of University of Arizona. They looked at Y-chromosome haplotypes - this is the genetic material passed from father to son down the generations.What they revealed was that Arabs and Jews are essentially a single population, and that Palestinians are slap bang in the middle of the different Jewish populations (as shown in this figure).Another team, lead by Almut Nebel at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, took a closer look in 2001. They found that Jewish lineages essentially bracket Muslim Kurds, but they were also very closely related to Palestinians. In fact, what their analysis suggested was that Palestinians were identical to Jews, but with a small mix of Arab genes - what you would expect if they were originally from the same stock, but that Palestinians had mixed a little with Arab immigrants. They conclude:
We propose that the Y chromosomes in Palestinian Arabs and Bedouin represent, to a large extent, early lineages derived from the Neolithic inhabitants of the area and additional lineages from more-recent population movements. The early lineages are part of the common chromosome pool shared with Jews (Nebel et al. 2000). According to our working model, the more-recent migrations were mostly from the Arabian Peninsula...
So, as far as male lineage goes, the genetic story is very clear. Palestinians and Jews are virtually indistinguishable.Women are a bit more tricky...

Analysis of elements in mitochondrial DNA (which is passed from mother to daughter) seemed to show that Jewish populations around Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East were derived from at least 8 unrelated 'founding mothers'.Where they came from wasn't clear, but the most likely explanation was that they were from local populations that bred with immigrant Jewish males. Their offspring became absorbed into the Jewish community.In 2008, a more sophisticated analysis was published that made use of whole mitochondrial DNA sequences. They found no evidence for the genetic bottle necks that indicate founding mothers in the large Jewish populations. Instead, they found a complicated picture with a very diverse gene pool suggesting intermarriage both with local populations and other Jewish groups.The overall conclusion is that the female Jewish line deviates a lot more from the Palestinian heritage than the male line, but the heritage is still there.So that's the good news. Jews and Palestinian Arabs are blood brothers - although this close genetic relationship probably stems from pre-Judaic times, rather than any more recent conversion of Palestinian Jews to Islam.

Israeli Flotilla will protest TURKEY's occupation of CYPRUS
In response to the recent Palestinian flotilla that sought to break Israel's military security blockade, a new flotilla is planned to protest TURKEY's Occupation of half of CYPRUS. Turkey is clearly engineering an assault on Israel over Gaza. Meanwhile, though, Turkey illegally occupies half of the island of Cyrpus.

Just see below the contribution of Jewish people in the fields of science, chemistry, physics, literature, economics, medicine, etc. This population is .02% of world population. Muslims are 20% of world population.
Why is it that 20% of Muslims of the world are no match for the 0.2% of Jews in the field of education, science, physics, etc. etc. The Jews never read the Quran and still they have contributed to the betterment of all humanity. Muslims did contribute initially to world progress. But in the last 500 years they have not done anything significant as compared to their population numbers.
Is our educational system so corrupted that we cannot complete on world educational standards? We need thousands of people like Sir Syed Khan to revolutionize our educational system in 58 Islamic countries.

How could Israel + Egypt's JOINT Blockade of Gaza be "illegal" when EGYPT willingly participated?
Anti-semites, peace activists, and various dim bulbs around the world carelessly refer to Israel's blockade of Gaza as "ILLEGAL."
Yet they fail to recognize that EGYPT ALSO WAS BLOCKADING GAZA with Israel for at least 3 years.
How could the blockade be "illegal" and yet Egypt participated fully in the blockade? Egypt is a major, powerful, well-armed Muslim country. Egypt had the 2nd most powerful military in the Middle East after Iraq, until the invasion of Iraq. Egypt is no push-over.

Egypt Ends Blockade On Gaza ‘Indefinitely’

After three years of cooperating in the Israeli blockade of Gaza, Egypt says it will leave its border with the Palestinian territory open indefinitely for humanitarian aid and restricted travel.

Egypt was not exactly a reluctant participant in imposing the blockade. Like Israel, Egypt watched with concern as Hamas militants wrenched control of Gaza from their rivals in the Fatah movement of Western-backed President Mahmoud Abbas during bloody street battles in 2007.
Egypt, which had its own war against Islamic radicals in the 1990s, fears sharing a border with a territory controlled by Islamic militants who have the backing of rising regional rival Iran. Just to the south, Egypt’s Sinai peninsula has been the scene of major terrorist attacks against tourist hotels, the last one in 2006.
Egypt paid a price for its part in the blockade, including protests at home against the government of Mubarak, who has been accused of being “an agent” for Israel. And in January 2008, Hamas militants blew up a section of the Gaza-Egypt border wall in an attempt to end the blockade, allowing hundreds of thousands of Gazans to pour into Egypt to stock up on supplies and visit friends and relatives they had not seen for years.
It took 12 days for Egyptian forces to restore order and close the border.
